Zane  Bendig

Zane Bendig, CFT, SPN, EFT, a Certified Fitness Trainer, Performance Nutrition Specialist and Endurance Fitness Trainer through the International Sports Science Association (ISSA). Zane is also a USAC Certified Coach. He is the owner of Power Nutrition & Fitness, where he specializes in sport-specific strength training programs and physiological testing for recreational and competitive athletes (both amateur and professional). Zane has worked with athletes ranging from baseball & golf, to cyclists & triathletes.

Billy Cassidy

Professional Instructor since 1998. Four year starting pitcher at Division 1 UNC 1982-1986. Pitched professionally for the Kansas City Royals. Graduated from Kennedy High School in 1982. Current varsity pitching coach at Green Mountain High School.

Mark Holzemer

Former left-handed starting and relief pitcher with 15 years of professional baseball experience. Pitched in the major-leagues with the Anaheim Angels, Seattle Mariners, Oakland Athletics, and Philadelphia Phillies. Drafted in the 4th round in 1987 draft. Littleton native and Mullen H.S. graduate, 1987.

Billy Martin

Played 4 years at the University of Texas at Arlington. Drafted in the 34th round by the New York Mets. Taken in the rule 5 draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 1999. Sold to the Yakult Swallows of the Japanese Central league in 2003. Signed by the Washington Nationals for the 2005 season. 4 time minor league all-star with career .285 avg. and 94 home runs. Played 8 years total professionally at 4 positions(1b,3b,lf,rf). Graduated from Wylie High School in Abilene, Texas in 1994.

Josh McAffee

8 years of professional experience as a catcher. Drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 4th round of the 1996 draft. Also was defensive player of the year in 1996 with the Diamondback organization. Played professionally for the D-backs, Astros, Rangers, and Mets. Giving Hitting and Catching instruction for the past 8 years. Currently attending school at Colorado School of Mines.

Darryl  Milne

Professional instructor since 1992. Current scout and pitching coach for the Boston Red Sox. Former Major League pitcher for the California Angels.

Tom Oldfield

Denny Southwick

Denny has over 30 years experience teaching and coaching youth baseball. He was the Varsity Baseball Coach at Mullen High School for two years. He spent three years as the Varsity Baseball Coach at Highlands Ranch High School. For the last four years, he has coached the Colorado Rockies Select High School team. This will be his second year as a Slammers Select Coach.

Mark Strittmatter

• Member of the first Rockies June draft in 1992
• Played in the Rockies minor league system for nine seasons
• Played four games for the Rockies in 1998
• Played college baseball at Virginia Commonwealth University
• 7 years experience as a youth baseball instructor specializing in hitting and catching

Clint  Zavaras

Ten years professional pitching experience. Acquired by the Seattle Mariners in the 3rd round of the 1985 draft. Made major league debut against the Texas Rangers and Nolan Ryan in 1989. Denver native and Mullen H.S. graduate, 1985. Signed with the Colorado Rockies in 1993. Spent the last 11 years giving professional instruction. Current San Diego Padres scout. Played on the 2004 Greek Olympic team.
